Water softening
The hardness of the water, ie the high content of magnesium calcium salts, causes long-term problems in electrical resistors for washing machines, water heaters, refrigeration tanks and more. Even more visible is the unsightly appearance of the salt deposits on stainless and glass surfaces such as showers, taps and more. Ideal hardness values are between 16-20 French degrees.
To reduce unwanted salts from the water can be done by softener, reverse osmosis, or chemical treatment.
